CYST Removal Treatment
Small dermoid / sebaceous cysts are usually present since birth but go unnoticed until they are symptomatic. These cysts may gradually increase in size and cause unsightly appearance on face thus bothering the patients. Sometimes, the patient may develop redness,swelling,pain at the cyst site suggesting infection commonly due to co-morbidities like Diabetes, which needs urgent attention.
Treatment
Cyst Removal – a simple out patient procedure where the cyst is removed by surgical excision under local anaesthesia. It is a painless procedure and leaves behind a small hidden scar.
If the cyst is infected, then urgent debridement along with cyst wall removal is needed to remove the infected dead/necrotic tissue leaving behind wound which heals gradually.
